Loved cozy atmosphere!
The hotel is unusual and ideal with superfriendly employees from housekeeping to management. The location was good and stunning, just next door to centre, conservatory and restaurant and bar. Furthermore, in the "chapel" area away from the rooms.

I was here for 1 night and ate at in-house restaurant with top service-staff. Moreover, parking was on site.

marvelous massage, clean pool area, charming historic character
The spa receptionist could use a crash course in customer service!!! Why were the complimentary tea and coffee charges so high? A bit of variety in the spa treatments wouldn't hurt either!!!

It is a comfortable hotel full of character. Dinner and Breakfast were very good. Overall, great value and I would definitely stay again.
Nothing. I’m struggling to find a criticism-maybe a lot of staff seemed young and a couple weren’t quite sure of things. But this is nitpicking!

Pleasant and impressive hotel with hospitable staff from housekeeping to management, everything was first-class. Easy to get to, marvellous location so close to Cowdray. Also, in the "chapel " area. Good base for exploring Midhurst.

Great location. Attentive staff. Lots of different areas to sit in.
Room was a bit tired. Dinner was a bit mixed in quality. Had a better Caesar's Salad elsewhere in Midhurst. Portions tended to be on the skinny side.

Location relaxing and service of staff excellent
Room 44 difficult to get used to uneven floorand bath shower no screen od curtain. For older people like ourselves rather a long and steepish climb to go upstairs. The staff asked if we would like to be at lower level but we declined

The hotel was a perfect retreat. The service were excellent, the staff were friendly and professional and and gave that extra personal touch. It was a delight to stay there. It you don't do anything else whilst you are there make sure you have one of the superb puddings from the dinner menu - you won't be disappointed! We'll be going back!

A class hotel. My son (14) and I were on a 3 day walk and stayed here on the first night. Excellent swimming pool, quiet and a decent room. Huge, top notch breakfast that set us up for a second day of walking. Interesting, building loaded with history. Staff professional without being "in your face" , overfriendly etc. Slap bang in the centre of Midhurst. Very clean and warm as you would expect from a hotel of this quality.
No tea/coffee making stuff in our room, which was annoying and seemed somewhat tight fisted. Hotel bar very nice, with a real fire but far too expensive. Almost £7 for a pint and a small coke is not on. Ate and drank elsewhere in Midhurst that evening.

Recommend it for families wanting relaxation
The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and well appointed shower room. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, not just a place where you paid to sleep.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but you could see why.
